AgroTerra started seeding campaign

AgroTerra farms officially started seeding on April 8. Typically, the Kursk region is the first to start working in the fields, but this year, due to the weather, the Lipetsk region was the first to begin the seeding campaign.

AgroTerra does not have any major changes planned for the upcoming season. The company will continue focusing on its main crops, which include wheat, soybeans, high-oleic sunflower, rapeseed, sugar beet, corn, and malting barley. Furthermore, the company is expanding its irrigated system to produce corn and sunflower hybrid seeds while continuing to produce soybean and wheat seeds.

Despite supply chain disruptions, AgroTerra is ready to begin the seeding campaign. The company's engineering service has already inspected and certified the machinery in all farms. This season, AgroTerra will focus on preventive maintenance.

"Our aim is to decrease our need for spare parts by implementing preventive maintenance measures.  We have installed automatic machinery operability control to alert directors and engineers about any potential risks," said Nikolai Shvets, the company's CTO.   

AgroTerra made sure to be well-equipped with spare parts. To ensure the effective farm operation during the seeding campaign, the company has developed alternative options for spare parts providers, ranging from the direct manufacturer to high-quality analogues. The purchases of fertilizers, plant protection schemes, and micronutrient elements were completed to over 95%. The company has also acquired new products for the upcoming season, such as stimulants and amino acids. Furthermore, AgroTerra has increased the volume of micronutrients based on positive results observed in industrial experiments. 

Before starting work in the fields, AgroTerra arranged internal "Team Exercises" to improve the quality of preparations for the seeding season. During this event employees from production and supporting functions discussed in detail all production stages to ensure highly effective teamwork and achieve desired results.
