AgroTerra scales up its field trials
At the beginning of August clients of AgroTerra arrived from different regions in the Penza region to visit local technology trial fields of Company’s Research and Innovation Center. It is the first field tour held by the Company for its farming partners in the Penza region.
Before, experts working at the Research and Innovation Center tested new crops varieties and crop protection only in the Kursk region, where they also shared their expertise with clients during Field Days arranged by the CCompany. AgroTerra scaled up its experiments in 2020 by launching field trials in another 4 regions - Tula, Ryazan, Tambov, and Penza regions. Thus, the current total area of AgroTerra field trials sums up to more than 6500 ha, while the total number of technology trials conducted in season 2020/2021 surpassed 700.
AgroTerra experts presented first participants of field trials visits held in the Penza region with 14 varieties of soybeans and 4 varieties of spring wheat. They also gave answers to questions about modern technologies applied in the agriculture, for example, about availability of new genetics of sunflower, corn, and soybeans. In addition to that, farmers also got detailed advice from AgroTerra experts on protection protocols applied for main crops in the Company.
“Clients are interested in the results of our experiments because we test new production technologies for different crops on our experimental fields, – remarks Stanislav Borisov, Head of Ecosystem Products Development Department. – Another division of our Research and Innovation Center works on the zoning of varieties, which allows us to reach better yields for each crop in regions with different climatic conditions. During our field trials visits we are happy to talk about our conclusions. We care about products and services, which weoffer – our offer is not just the purchase of wheat and soybeans seeds, but also the capability to increase the yield with our help and earn more money. We will continue to develop this project”
