AgroTerra improves the accuracy of crop production technology compliance

AgroTerra and GeomirAgro LLC presented the 'History of the Field' at the international conference 'Where is the margin?' on February 9 in Moscow. The system created by GeomirAgro is used to automate and control agricultural processes. This solution is being adapted to the needs of AgroTerra.

Tatyana Krylova, Director for Transformation at AgroTerra, spoke at the conference about two system changes that are most important for the company. The first is related to automated operational planning. The upgrade will enable AgroTerra to reduce the impact of negative factors on the crop production technology while also ensuring its compliance. This solution is based on an algorithm that analyzes field data, automatically plans agricultural operations, and reports them to the agronomist.

"We are automating operational planning for our agronomists. We divide a specific technology into stages and define each stage's operations. Then we determine the triggers we need to start a particular operation. We program all of this into the system, and the system sets agricultural priorities for agronomists on its own. The automatic assignment of agricultural priorities allows for crop production technology compliance. In addition, we automate notifications about possible risks and reports on the facts of non-compliance with the technology," Tatyana Krylova commented on the implementation of the solution.

The second upgrade based on the ‘History of the Field’ is related to the control of compliance with agricultural operations. For its implementation, a special algorithm was developed that identifies technological flaws in operations performed in the fields and reports them to the agronomist. The agronomist then either records the deviation from technology or assigns the operation to be repeated. Thus, the company improves the accuracy of technology compliance.

“Precise adherence to technology and high-quality execution of operations are especially important for us now, since ‘AgroTerra’ produces not only marketable products, but also seeds of sunflower and corn hybrids, as well as high reproduction soybeans,” said Tatyana Krylova.
